Russell Marsh is the Director for Cybersecurity Operations within
the Office of the Associate Administrator for Information
Management and Chief Information Officer at NNSA. As the
Director of Cybersecurity, Mr. Marsh oversees all activities related
to the five tenants of cybersecurity: identify, protect, detect,
respond, and recover.
Previously, Mr. Marsh worked in the Cyber Security Division of the
Cyber Directorate in the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN), where he performed
the duties of the Chief Information Officer and the Chief Information Security Officer. During his tenure
with DOE-IN, he completed a Joint Duty Assignment as the Cyber Security Branch Chief in the
Intelligence Community (IC) CIO Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Mr. Marsh is a retired U.S. Navy Reserve Commander, where he specialized in Information Warfare. He
has a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. Mr. Marsh holds a certification in
Identity and Access Management (IAM) and a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
During his tour in Iraq as a Deputy J2 in the Joint Task Force Troy, Mr. Marsh received a Joint Service
Meritorious Medal and an Army Commendation
