Chantile Stovall began her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs in August 2005 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) at the Alaska Regional Office. She also worked as a VRC for the Denver Regional Office as an out-based counselor in Colorado Springs. In this position, she administered benefits under the Chapter 31 vocational rehabilitation program.
Ms. Stovall’s transition into management began in June 2009 with her selection as a participant in Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E) Service Managerial Enhancement Program. In December 2009, she was selected as the Assistant VR&E Officer at the National Capital Region Benefits Office (NCRBO), formerly known as the Washington Regional Office. She served as the Assistant VR&E Officer serving as the first-line supervisor for 30 FTE. She was also responsible for providing program oversight to over 3,000 Chapter 31 participants. She was promoted to the VR&E Officer position in August 2013. Additionally, she served as the Acting VR&E Officer for the Baltimore Regional Office (BRO) beginning November 2016 when NCRBO realigned under BRO. Her responsibilities included oversight and management of work performed by 54 FTE supporting the mission in the office and at fourteen out-based locations providing services to over 4,000 Veterans. In June 2020, Ms. Stovall was selected as the Assistant Service Center Manager for the Veteran Service Center at the Baltimore Regional Office/National Capital Region Benefits Office. She is charged with the oversight of disability and appeals claims processing for over 350,000 Veterans in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Ms. Stovall has participated in numerous leadership and development programs. She describes herself as a life-long student. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters’ of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling. She is also a graduate of Employee Development & Training Leadership Coaching Program and a 2018 LEAP graduate.
Ms. Stovall is married to a retired Air Force veteran. She resides in Chantilly, Virginia with her spouse and three daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running and traveling.
