Paul Jones was selected as the Coach for the Public Contact (PCT) and Intake Processing Center (IPC) teams at the Baltimore Regional Office in April 2019. His responsibilities include providing support for various outreach events, ensuring customers are provided with stellar customer service and overseeing initial and centralized mail processing.
Mr. Jones joined the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) as a Veterans Service Representative (VSR) at the Winston Salem Regional Office (RO) in August 2007 where he gained technical and analytical skills. He served as a Veteran Service Representative (VSR) for 8.5 years before becoming an Assistant Coach of the Special Operations team, in October 2016. He relocated to the Baltimore RO as an Assistant Coach in June 2017, where he was assigned as an assistant Coach on the Rating Team. During his time in Baltimore he was selected to Coach in January 2017, and has had the opportunity to lead several Teams, Pre and Post VSRs, Training Team and in his current position as the Supervisor of the IPC and PCT teams.
Mr. Jones served in the United States Army for 20 years, where he had the opportunity to perform many different jobs, (Drill Instructor, Platoon Sergeant, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Instructor. He concluded his military career as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) working for the Training and Doctrine Command in October 2003. Mr. Jones also had the opportunity to teach Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) in Martinsville VA, from August 2003 to February 2007.
Paul earned a B.A. degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Ashford University, in May 2014. He now spends most of his free time with his wife and their two grandsons who keep them busy and on the go.
