Meghan Brooks is a staff attorney and Justice Catalyst fellow with New York Legal Assistance Group's Veterans Practice, where she represents veterans in service-connected disability compensation appeals and discharge upgrades, among other matters, and is developing NYLAG's strategic and class litigation capacity for veterans. Meghan has represented survivors of military sexual trauma (MST) before the VA, litigated under the Freedom of Information Act to uncover bias against whistleblowers and MST survivors in VA benefits delivery and military record corrections, and successfully advocated to insert language in the National Defense Authorization Act protecting MST survivors from professional retaliation. Meghan graduated from Yale Law School, where she was a five-semester member of the Veterans Legal Services Clinic.
