Heather Dimeris serves as the Deputy Associate Director for the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and she is a Commander (CDR) in the United States Public Health Service (USPHS). She joined the FORHP in 2003 as a Public Health Analyst and managed operations as the Associate Director and Senior Advisor in 2007 before becoming the Deputy Associate Administrator in 2016. CDR Heather Dimeris currently oversees a broad range of rural health activities within FORHP, with an emphasis on telehealth, rural health policy, and rural health research.

Prior to working at HRSA, Heather Dimeris was dietitian for Malden Hospital in Massachusetts. She holds a Master of Science degree in public health nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
