Charles (Chuck) Ross is currently the Director of Procurement Service Division B for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located in Eatontown, NJ. He is responsible for the award and administration of a portfolio consisting of some of VA’s largest enterprise-wide contracts for complex information technology hardware, software, and managed services.

Chuck has over 20 years of federal contracting experience which began as a Contract Specialist Intern in 2000 with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command located at Fort Monmouth, NJ. After working as a Contracting Officer briefly with the Federal Aviation Administration, Chuck joined the VA TAC in 2009.

During his tenure at the TAC, Chuck was responsible for awarding the historic Vets.gov (now VA.gov) development contract which launched VA’s partnership with the US Digital Service. Chuck currently oversees the Department’s Enterprise Cloud contracts, multiple managed service contracts for IT commodities, and large enterprise license agreements for software. Throughout his career, Chuck has been a pioneer in pursuing and incorporating innovative contracting strategies and evaluation techniques.

Chuck holds a Digital IT Acquisition Professional Certification and a Level III Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting. He enjoys spending his free time with his family on the beach in their hometown of Belmar, NJ.
