In every breakout room, a government leader will be paired with an industry facilitator for an insightful group discussion. Each table will have focused conversation around one of these critical topic areas:

  • Cybersecurity - Cyber-attacks are increasing in volume and sophistication, highlighting the need for advanced data protection and user behavior analytics. Moreover, with the ubiquity of digital devices, digital evidence is increasingly important to the investigation and prosecution of many types of crimes. Roundtable discussions will focus on these topics, as well as the latest incident response and preparedness techniques needed to keep the nation safe.
  • Data Analytics - Law enforcement leaders have increasing access to a wider variety and larger amounts of data than ever before. They must develop both strategic and tactical plans to enhance data and analytics capabilities across their organizations to empower mission end-users, secure sensitive data, and balance needs for transparency and privacy. Roundtable discussions will focus on how agencies can leverage artificial intelligence (AI), machine-learning (ML) and other automation to become more effective and efficient.
  • Modernization of Training – An ever-changing world has forced agencies to rethink training practices for law enforcement and public safety officers with more emphasis on augmented reality/simulations training, e-learning, and remote training. The migration to the cloud requires stronger and secure cyber capacity for remote training and data storage, and modernizing skills in the technology workforce is critical to future mission success. Roundtable discussions will focus on the strategies and technologies needed to upskill and reskill the workforce in a changing landscape.
