Healthcare at the Speed of Events

The exponential adoption of the event streaming platform has been remarkable over the last decade as industry and government alike seek to move towards real-time event driven capabilities. Healthcare has been no different with the approach transforming many aspects of how data is handled to improve the treatment and experience of patients. In this talk we will cover what event streaming is, and how Apache Kafka and Confluent are being applied and adopted in healthcare.  We will discuss real world examples of how event streaming is helping shape healthcare; including managing benefits, sharing electronic health records, and combating pandemics.

Relax and make new connections at this interactive painting experience, with step-by-step guidance from our art instructor and a little extra help from the beverage of your choice! A combination of small group breakouts and full-group instruction gives you the opportunity to meet fellow Health IT attendees while trying your hand at creating a work of art. Painting materials will be delivered to your door via contactless delivery. Attendees provide their own beverages. The class will take place via Zoom for Government, and space is limited to 30 participants.
