The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides health coverage for more than 136 million people in the United States. The agency produces an enormous amount of data on beneficiaries, which account for over 40 percent of the nation’s population, as well as providers and other related information. With rapid advancements in data architecture, storage and analysis, and implementation of a user-centered approach, CMS is poised to use data in new and innovative ways. In this session, our expert panelists will discuss how CMS is leveraging its data, the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL), and what’s next for the agency.
Potential topics include:
Jeffrey Grant, Deputy Director for Operations Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, CMS
Jeneen Iwugo, Deputy Director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ), CMS
George Linares, Chief Technology Officer, CMS
Karen Shields, Deputy Director for Medicaid and Chip Services, CMS
Moderator: Shannon West (Sartin), Chief Technology Officer, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, CMS
